SOLDANO
Soldano is an Italian village of 893 inhabitants of the province of Imperia in Liguria.
The village is located in the Val Crosia and grows along the banks of the stream Verbone.
The origin of the country is not known; among the most common assumptions we think that the settlement has been formed by the city of Ventimiglia with prisoners conducted by the war of Almeria (1147) and Tortosa (1148. Another theory says that the town was founded in the Middle Ages from a family refugees of Ventimiglia.
In the last century there has been a change of farming in favor of vines and flowers. Soldano is among the centers producing wine Rossese Dolceacqua DOC.
